Nice to meet you
Ephemera are things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time.
Ephemeris, in astronomy and celestial navigation, gives a location for naturally occurring astronomic objects as well as artificial satellites in the sky. Their position (and possibly velocity) over time.
Both words come from the Greek for diary or journal, and seem to be contradictory. Do they exist only in the moment? Can they be cataloged and shared beyond that moment?
ephemeradk is a guiding service, helping you to make the most of your Adirondack moments. We are not the guides of the sepia-toned past. (Well, mostly we aren’t.) We are photographers, paddlers, hikers, travelers. We come from different backgrounds and have different skills and goals, but what binds us together is our passion for our home, all six million+ acres of it. Come join us!
